A new mechanism for friction-induced vibration and noise

چکیده

Abstract For years, friction-induced vibration and noise (FIVN) has puzzled many researchers in academia industry. Several mechanisms have been proposed for explaining its occurrence quantifying frequencies, notably automotive brake squeal, clutch even rail corrugation. However, due to the complex complicated nature of FIVN, there is not yet one fundamental mechanism that can explain all phenomena FIVN. Based on experimental results obtained a simple test structure corresponding numerical validation using both eigenvalue analysis (CEA) transient dynamic (TDA), this study attempts propose new which repeated cycles partial detachment then reattachment contact surfaces. Since friction ubiquitous FIVN very common, insight into reported paper highly significant will help establish effective means control engineering daily life.
